Of course Johnny for me proves my theory that what is best for the Island is found on the island, not in or via London and East Kilbride.

http://shared.moonbeamsforall.com/shh20031031tributetojohnnydrummond.pdf

"Johnny was part of the Island community. St Helena was
home. He felt Saints should be proud of who and what they are and
felt he could help but taking an interest in the St Helena dialect. He
had started to compile a list of Saint words and supported Emma
Jane in her interest in St Helena family names and origins."
ANorthumbrianAbroadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06548140943705427113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5208414707355071730.post-81485301456459411062015-09-30T20:36:32.972-07:002015-09-30T20:36:32.972-07:00Whenever I think about Saint Helena, my thoughts t...Whenever I think about Saint Helena, my thoughts turn to Stedson George, a great friend and a maverick, of the best kind. Sadly I hear of his passing. Quite often in my blogs and writings I draw on his wisdom. I posted this message:
"Sorry to hear Stedson has died. The last I knew of him is he was given a belated award, not for his other great(er) efforts but his community work in Blue Hill.

To me, Stedson was one of the island’s great intellects, outward-looking,and one of independent mind. That no doubt cost him ever reaching his potential. People will know of when he was most controversial. I do wonder too if he was not helped by his clear black African features? He was a man ahead of his times. He would have come in to his own with the current opening up of the island physically with the new airport and more so by ICT."
